It seems most people these days say or do things only when it has something in it for them. Something they can gain. Or if not for their own good, it’s to ruin someone else’s day, life, or reputation.
It seems like no one ever goes out of their own way anymore just for the heck of it.
So when I actually see someone who goes against everything I just said, it freaking amazes me.

I’ve been infatuated with the lights, the attention, the flat-out-cravings to be noticed … but haven’t we all? So caught up in these things that we forget about those things — we don’t even know what THOSE things are. There’s no antecedent for THOSE things or THESE things. So caught up. So … barren.

She was beautiful and blissful, elegant and poise. She’s my best friend and she was wonderfully sweet. Considerate in most cases and though we were two complete opposites, we connect like magnets. Cheesy metaphors and similes could perfectly describe our relationship. I love it.
